I've always enjoyed rolling my sleeves up and getting busy with a paint brush. I found I could turn my hand to most DIY tasks, and I especially loved decorating. However, I was stuck behind a desk in a corporate sales role. That was until Covid struck.
Through the lock downs my situation changed, so I decided it was time to take the opportunity, change things up and do something I really enjoyed. I booked myself an NZMA full time trade training programme and got myself qualified as a plasterer and painter.
Plastering is a craft that comes naturally to me after years of resin repairing surf lifesaving craft and that's how I find myself here, and I'm loving every day of it.
